MattBastard I enjoy singing along with GMS tunes while strolling through public areas throughout the city (currently Seattle, the only city I’ve been blessed to witness GMS live). Feelings of overwhelming joy and a particular solace replace the previous ennui and sadness that was brought about by the realization that I was possibly the only person among the local masses witnessing these aural masterpieces. Favorite track: Barmecide Room.

Now regarded as a highly underrated, influential band ahead of its time, Green Magnet School is considered one of the seminal indie rock groups that sprouted from the fertile, post-grunge Boston music community of the late 1980s-early 1990s. ... more
